I wanted to write, now, though, because I wanted to share with you how absolutely pleased I was with two recent video conferences we conducted on June 22 & 25 where you all bridged our sites together. This was the first time we have ever used your bridging service. We have been doing video conferences for probably 10 years, and honestly, this is the first one we have conducted that functioned perfectly. Literally. There were absolutely no technological glitches. If you had participated in any of our previous video conferences you would realize how profound this experience was for me, because they used to be soooo terrible: dropped sites, audio problems, fuzzy picture, echoes, you name it, we experienced it. We also experienced bridging with a webcam, an aspect of this technology that I have been excited about, but nervous to try because of our previous challenges with video conferencing. This also was perfect – and so useful to the person who participated because it meant she didn’t have to travel away from home. Probably advancing technology has something to do with this, but I can say that for similar events to what we conducted this week, we will without a doubt use you all again to provide bridging service.
